Q: How can I prevent a false alarm?

Before arming your system check your home for objects that may inadvertently interfere with your motion detectors triggering your alarm. Learn your system. It’s easy to use. Q: My alarm went off accidentally. I punched in my code and shut it off. I was expecting a call from my central monitoring station yet no one called. Why not?

Your alarm has been designed to allow you just enough time to turn off your system before an alarm signal is sent to your central monitoring station, thus allowing you to cancel the signal and preventing a false alarm.

Q: What happens when the panic or fire alarm buttons are pressed on the keypad?

Holding down button(s) for 1 to 3 seconds will transmit an alarm signal to your central monitoring station and emergency services will be dispatched immediately. In most cases this alarm signal is of utmost importance and dispatch cannot be cancelled.

Q: Am I responsible for testing my alarm system regularly?

Yes. Refer to your owner handbook to ensure good working order. Request repair service in the event that your system is not working properly. Notify central monitoring station before testing. Check for trouble indications. Should your system indicate trouble consult your product manual or call our technical department. See user manuals for specific problems. IMPORTANT: Ignoring this can cause your system to be unreliable.
